Tea Board Registration in Jharkhand-The Government of India has conveyed its approval for the Tea Board’s Scheme “Tea Development & Promotion Scheme” for implementation during the Medium-Term Framework (MTF) (2017-18 to 2019-2020).

Tea is one of the industries that comes under the control of the Union government through an Act of Parliament. The origins of the Indian Tea Council date back to 1903 when the Tea Tax Act was passed in India. The bill provides for a tax on tea exports, the proceeds of which will be used to promote Indian tea in India and abroad. Established under Section 4 of the Tea Act 1953, the Tea Council was created on April 1, 1954.

Import Export Code [IEC] must be registered with the Spice Board
Any registered exporter of loose tea, bottled tea, teabags and instant tea must be registered with the Tea Council for Certificate of Registration and Membership under the Export and Import Policy of the Government of India to enjoy import/export/duty benefit rights. This is a form of registration for the tea business under Section 4 of the Tea Act 1953. This Act came into effect on April 1, 1954. The Indian Tea Board Membership Certificate (RCMC) is valid until the existing exporter’s license or foreign trade policy expires. applies, whichever comes first.

How to Apply for Licence/ Subsidy

Step1:-SIGN UP has to be done by the Applicant to create User name and Password. Applicant must have a valid Email id and Mobile number to create user credentials in the eGiCCS application.

Step2:-Applicant has to login in eGiCCS application to apply for Fresh, Renewal, Duplicate License or Subsidy Application and submit the application for further processing by submitting requisite fees via online payment mode and mandatory details along with supporting documents as per the license category.

Step3:-Please read the fee structure/Payment Mode and supporting documents required list before filing application. The portal shall save all the information that you may capture till the time you have saved it. The application will be saved as an INCOMPLETE APPLICATION / DRAFT. You can later on proceed the application to complete it.

FAQs

Qus:-Can License that has expired can be renewed?

The license that has once expired cannot be renewed and applicant would have to apply for a fresh license and system would provide a fresh license number to the applicant.

Qus:-How to retrieve user credentials?

The User Credentials can be retrieved from the EGICCS login page by entering the User ID or Registered E-mail ID or Mobile Number or Application Reference Number.

Qus:-How to migrate offline issued license into the EGICCS portal?

To migrate the offline issued licenses, user may raise a helpdesk ticket by signing into the EGICCS portal and required to attach the valid license copy issued by Tea Board India.

Qus:-If payment is debited from user’s bank account but still reflecting as “verify payment” in the portal.

User is required to raise the helpdesk ticket and needs to attach a copy of bank statement showing deduction of payment along with Application Reference No. against which payment has been made.

Qus:-If payment not debited but shows as “verify payment” in the portal.

User is required to raise the helpdesk ticket and provide the details of Application Reference No. and mention that the payment has not been debited.
